Assistant Comptroller – Head of Accounting & Disbursement Team
Job Description
- Manage the day-to-day activities of Finance team
- Review financial reports and analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts. Ensure meeting accounting close and finance reporting due date
- Review vouchers and supporting documents to ensure accurate payment to suppliers, service providers, and Sub-Agents
- Monitor completion of statutory filings, tax payment, and local government requirements
- Monitor compliance with the company’s corporate accounting policies and procedures
- Prepare/review various analyses on an ad hoc basis to support/provide management requirements
- Coordinate with external auditors for year-end closing/audit
- Ensure fair presentation of the financial condition of the company including it’s subsidiaries, and the results of operations in accordance with regulatory regulations, and appropriate financial reporting and valuation standards (GAAP, BIR, SEC) and internal policies;
- Ensures that appropriate financial controls are in place;
- Responsible for the final design, maintenance, and continuing improvement of the accounting systems and policies;
- Ensure timely settlement/payment processing for corporate expenses and due to sub-agents.
Requirements:
- CPA
- At least 5 years experience in the same capacity with strong tax, accounting and analytical skill
- Highly knowledgeable in all aspects of accounting
- Can communicate proficiently in English
- Must have a strong leadership and is a team player
- Honest, hardworking, highly organized and can work under pressure
- Proficient in MS Office and use of accounting software
